- Synopsis
- On March 21, 2013, JIS A 5011-1 (Slag aggregate for concrete -Part 1:Blast furnace slag aggregate) was revised. In this first revision since 2003, aggregate quality standards were revised and new chemical composition analysis methods were added. Based on "Guidance for introducing environmental aspects in construction sector standards" Annex I: "Guidance for introducing environmentally sound quality of chemicals and inspection method to slag aggregate for concrete" established by the Technical Committee on Civil Engineering and the Technical Committee on Architecture under the Japanese Industrial Standards Committee's Standards Board in July 2011, environmental safety and quality standards and inspection methods were established. This article describes the main points of these revisions.
