Synopsis
The environment surrounding concrete work is changing significantly due to factors such as labor shortages, the aging of workers, and shorter working hours associated with the promotion of workstyle reforms. To continue constructing high-quality concrete structures, it is necessary to establish a framework that enables the active use of high-flowability concrete according to construction conditions. To this end, it is necessary to enable unified evaluation of quality related to placing for concrete with different levels of flowability, such as slump-controlled concrete and high-flowability concrete, which are treated separately in the 2023 Standard Specifications for Concrete Structures [Materials & Construction]. This subcommittee therefore examined the quantitative evaluation of quality related to placing. This paper presents an overview of these activities.
