- Synopsis
- To explore the structural application of ultra-high-strength synthetic fiber reinforced concrete (PVA-VFC), which enables lightweight and long-lasting structures, bending loading tests on beams were conducted. Based on the results, a 15-meter span girder, assuming redecking of an actual bridge, was manufactured and subjected to loading tests. The cracksuppressing effect of fibers allows for higher tensile stress limits for high-strength reinforcing bars, and combined with the strength characteristics of PVA-VFC, enables rational cross section setting.
