Synopsis
The application of self-compacting concrete is considered a means to enhance productivity in concrete construction; however, issues such as cost and manufacturing complexity have prevented its widespread use in conventional RC structures. To address this issue, we have developed a self-compacting concrete aimed at general use, which minimizes cost increases compared to ordinary concrete. In this paper, we propose a new evaluation test method for this self-compacting concrete and establish a mix design methodology. Furthermore, by applying this concrete to an actual structure, we verified the validity of the mix design methodology and demonstrated that using this concrete can suppress cost increases while ensuring quality and improving productivity through labor reduction.
