- Synopsis
- JIS A 5011-5 was officially announced in October 2020. This article presents the background of this standard and an outline of its content. Coal gasification slag is a by-product generated from the “integrated coal gasification combined cycle (IGCC)”. Since it was confirmed that coal gasification slag aggregate has the same performance as other concrete slag aggregates, this standard was established so that it could be effectively used as a recycled resource. In addition to the same items as for other concrete slag aggregates, this standard defines the upper limit of carbon content and the tolerance of absolute dry density as specific characteristics of coal gasification slag aggregate.
