- Synopsis
- This paper presents an overview of the Guidelines for Seismic Design of Reinforced Concrete Foundation Members (Draft) published by the Architectural Institute of Japan in March 2017. As a seismic design method for reinforced concrete foundation members capable of withstanding large earthquakes, these Guidelines, which cover target seismic performance and its verification method, determination of seismic performance, seismic capacity of reinforced concrete foundation members, among other things, provide a unified and concrete design method that can be applied to actual design.
