- Synopsis
- In parallel with the transition to performance based design of concrete structures, various elemental technologies related to design and performance verification have evolved tremendously. On the other hand, there is still room for progress in terms of integrating these various elemental technologies into a structural design and evaluation system, and creating a framework for the appropriate and rational evaluation of the coupled behavior of various phenomena. This paper introduces some of the results of two years of activities by the Research Subcommittee on Design and Performance Evaluation of Concrete Structures by the Coupled Method established under the Concrete Committee of the Japan Society of Civil Engineers.
