Stipulation of Construction Products Regulation from Construction Products Directive based on New Legislative Framework Regulation from New Approach Directive

- The mechanisms based on the laws and regulations for the distribution and sale of products in member countries of the European Union (EU) and European Free Trade Association (EFTA) also have a major influuence in Japan through the stipulation of ISO standards for products, including construction products such as cement, aggregate, admixtures, and concrete products. This paper covers the harmonization of various New Approach Directives, the stipulation of the New Legislative Framework (NLF), and the upgrading of the Construction Products Directive (CDP) to the Construuction Products Regulation (CPR) , describing the process by which more enforceable rules were established, the tenor of these rules, and the stipulation of CPR from CPD based on NFL. It introduces also chemical admixtures cases within the context of the Declaration of Performance that must accompany affixing of the CE marking as required by CPR.
