Synopsis
In December 2015, "AIJ Standard for Design and Calculation of Reinforced Concrete Box-shaped Wall Structures", was published as a document that encompasses three different standards, namely "Standard for Design of Reinforced Concrete Box-shaped Wall Structures", "Standard for Calculation of Reinforced Concrete Box-shaped Wall Structures", and "Standard for Design of Precast Reinforced Concrete Box-shaped Wall Structures". The newly issued standard is designed to be used for the structural design and structural calculations for cast-in-place reinforced concrete box-shaped wall structures and precast reinforced concrete wall structures, which offer excellent seismic performance. This report presents an overview of the major design and calculation-related content of these three standards bundled into a single encompassing standard.
