- Electrochemical measurements techniques are employed in the maintenance of concrete structures, but some case studies seem to indicate a lack of understanding of the theoretical background. This paper provides an overview of the information that is important for the proper evaluation of electrochemical measurement results, specifically the basics of electrochernistry, methods for measuring electrochemical property values, the evaluation of concrete performance and quality, and the evaluatjon of corrosion.
