- Synopsis
- In this paper, the factors affecting the drying shrinkage of concrete were considered based on the composite theory, and the experimental data examining the effects of various factors on the drying shrinkage of cement paste and aggregate were introduced. And it was shown that the regulation of water content in JASS 5 is not necessarily reasonable. In addition, it was described that the drying shrinkage strain of aggregate differs depending on locality and lot in addition to rock-type, and they are reflected directly in the drying shrinkage strain of concrete, then the prediction equation of drying shrinkage to be able to consider the effect of aggregate properties is useful in order to control such variation, furthermore the quality control and inspection of drying shrinkage of aggregate becomes important in the future.
