- Synopsis
- Hinge Isolated Reinforced Concrete members were developed in order to mitigate seismic damage, to avoid strength deterioration, to deform up to large amplitude, and to absorb huge energy due to great earthquake motions. This paper reports the structural outlines and structural details of reinforced concrete beams with this structural mechanism.
