- Synopsis
- The anchorages and joints in reinforcing bars are very important in RC structures, and the safety of the RC structures are depend on the construction method and the inspection. "Recommendations for Design, Fabrication and Evaluation of Anchorages and Joints in Reinforcing Bars" was published in 1982. And a lot of technologies of anchorages and joints have been developed, and the design methods of concrete structures are shifting to the performance-based design, recently. For these reasons, "Recommendations for Design, Fabrication and Evaluation of Anchorages and Joints in Reinforcing Bars [2007]" was published. In this guideline, the necessary performance and the inspection methods of the anchorages and joints are described. And the methods were evaluated including the reliability of construction and inspection.
