- Synopsis
- High Performance Fiber Reinforced Cement Composites (HPFRCC) that exhibits multiple fine cracks in tension has been developed, and wide variety of applications has been also proposed. From the Japan Society of Civil Engineers (JSCE), the recommendation for design and construction for HPFRCC will be published. In order to use HPFRCC effectively, material properties after cracking should be considered in design. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the stress strain relationship under uniaxial tensile tests for HPFRCC. In this paper, characteristic of ordinary HPFRCC is presented briefly. Then, some issues on uniaxial tensile test methods are discussed, and recent progress on the tests, which are developed in various institutes recently, are introduced.
