- Synopsis
- By-product's applicability to port and harbor structures is often studied. So, to use a large quantity of byproduct's aggregates is desirable. However, if the aggregates include metal steel, metal steel volume will be increase by corrosion, then structures which include the metal steel aggregates may damage. Modified-sulfur concrete, which is made of by-product's aggregates and modified-sulfur binder, has good properties such as high aggregate content, less water absorption, high strength, high salt resistance, good affinity for living organisms. This paper shows mechanical properties of "Modified-Sulfur Concrete" and its field tests under the sea.
