- Synopsis
- Prestressed Reinforced Concrete (PRC) piles are developed to improve the seismic performance of the conventional precast high-strength concrete piles. They have normal deformed bars as the longitudinal reinforcement in additional to prestressing deformed bars. This report focuses on the estimation of the ultimate seismic performances (the ultimate bending strength, the ultimate shear strength and the deformability). The evaluation method in this paper is available to the cases of shear failure and flexural failure.
