- Synopsis
- In this report, structural tests of flexible connection of pile head for cast-in-place concrete pile and an application to a building were reported. In this flexible connection, the pile rebars are not anchored to footing and the pile head was formed in the shape of truncated cone or flat to control the rotation. This flexible connection can reducethe stress acting on the pile head compared with rigid one. So this flexible connection can realize the high performance of the deformation capacity with little damage of the pile against hard earthquake attacks. And reasonable foundation can be designed economically by adopting this connection system as well.
