- Synopsis
- The activity of committee for "concrete structure for fire safety" has been finished at the end of March 2002, which was one of the parts of research activity in "Japan Concrete Institute."
- The deterioration of concrete members are controlled variously by the heating condition, mixture design and loading conditions to structures.
- This research committee dealt with relevant information collection as a first step, then extracted and arranged a specified phenomenon to the architectural building structures and tunnel structures on the point of view of thermal effects.
- Based on these contributions, the recommendation for the design procedure and mitigation measures were arranged. This paper is introduction of the fruits of this research committee in the past two years.
