- As de-icing salt is increasingly used in Japan recently, deterioration of concrete structures by de-icing salt is a matter of great concern. This paper explains the types and deterioration of concrete structures by de-icing salt and also explains the problems and countermeasures in the construction of concrete structures in areas where de-icing salt is used.
