- Synopsis
- A state of the art report on the studies performed to understand transportation mechanisms and characteristics of species (water, ions and gasses) which possibly move into and move out from concrete has been shown. These studies have attracted considerable interest with respect to long term performance and durability of concrete, and would contribute to development of comprehensive material design and inspection methods for concrete structures. Both experimental and analytical attempts to establish the model to describe and predict the transport properties have been mainly introduced.
