- Synopsis
- Recently the seismic design methods for concrete structures in the field of civil engineering have been considerably revised based on the lessons of the great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. This paper describes the changes and recent trend of the seismic design methods on concrete highway and railway bridges. The provisions in the JSCE Standard Specification reflecting these changes are also discussed.
