- Synopsis
- The glass hall is mainly a huge atrium with a void space of 250,000m3. The big roofpresents a unique structureFit is supported by only two big columns. The layer displacement of the structure is affected by the stiffness of the column. An ultra-workable high strength concrete of 80N/mm2 maximum strength is filled up in it. The site is surrounded by railways and thus, the 21-meter-deep underground construction has been carried out by a top-down method. Fur-ther, to prevent noise and vibration the diaphragm wall and the underground structure was to beseparated, so a special top down method was necessary for the construction. The center of thebasement at the B2 level is a 2 story-high big exibition hall. A 60-meter PC bridge, which ser-ves as a brace, is hang over at the B1 level. Pre-casted blocks are linked together at the site by prestressing to make this underground bridge.
