In 2050, according to UN, more than half of the world population will not be able to get enough drinking water, so research on saving fresh water is seriously needed. In this context, the use of sea water, whose percentage is 97% of the total water on the earth, is absolutely needed.
In concrete industry, several billion tons of water, as mixing water, curing water and cleaning water, is annually used on the earth, and the use of sea water is inhibited. If the use of sea water in concrete industry is permitted, the fresh water is much saved.
In this research, information on the usage of sea water as mixing water and curing water etc. will be done and the problems and remedies will be investigated with experiments and/or literature survey. Also, new methods on production and construction with sea water will be proposed through experiments and/or simulations.
